Our Mission

The mission of St. Agnes Academy is to provide for our students strong Catholic values and academic excellence, while encouraging them to be lifelong learners.

JOY (Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last) is our call to action!

Since 1973, our archdiocesan parochial school has been providing students in the Key Biscayne and Miami community a strong Catholic education as well as an academically challenging curriculum that encourages critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving. Our Catholic identity enables us to educate the whole child spiritually, academically, and morally.

The foundation of our school is based on five pillars:

Catholic Identity

St. Agnes Academy’s mission of “JOY” (Jesus first, Others second, Yourself last) embraces a Catholic Identity rooted in Gospel values, centered on the Eucharist, and committed to faith formation and service.

How do we foster “JOY”?

  • Schoolwide focus on virtues and recognition of students who embody these virtues through monthly Peacemaker Awards.
  • Celebration of weekly Mass with students, faculty and parents and monthly Sunday family mass led by different grades on a rotating basis.
  • Regular visits by students and staff to the Blessed Sacrament where there is Perpetual Adoration.
  • Preparation and initiation of all age-appropriate sacraments and regular opportunities for Reconciliation.
  • Yearly retreats for students and bi-annual retreats for faculty members.
  • Contribution of time, treasure, and talent through participation in ministries and service projects.
  • Integration of Catholic values and faith formation across the curriculum.
