Mario Garcia-Serra
Graduated from St. Agnes: Class of 1990
Current city: Key Biscayne, FL
After graduating from St. Agnes, I attended Christopher Columbus High School (Home of the Fighting Explorers!) and then went on to Harvard University where I obtained a B.A. in Government in 1998. I then obtained my law degree from the University of Miami School of Law in 2002 and have practiced land use and zoning law since then. I am presently a partner with the law firm of Gunster Yoakley and Stewart, one of Florida’s oldest law firms.
Key Biscayne has always been my home. After experiencing all the great things about living in our Island Paradise, I could never want to live anywhere else. We are very blessed to live in the best community I have ever come across.
Joe and Ana Rasco and Doreen and Tim Stickney. They were and continue to be great examples of professionals who are meaningfully involved in their community and true friends always willing to help others.
We had some great Academic Olympic teams and being elected Student Council President was a highlight!
St. Agnes definitely provided me with a great educational foundation and personal discipline which has always served me very well.
Without a doubt, starting a family, along with my wife, Silvia. My wife and children provide me with great joy always. Credit to having such well rounded children, Veronica and Mario Andres (both future Forever Bears), goes more to Silvia than me!
After 16 years of practicing land use and zoning law, I’ve also had the privilege of representing some of the biggest and most prominent projects in various areas of Miami-Dade County and it has been my honor and blessing to have had the good luck to represent great clients and to work at excellent law firms where that team spirit imbued in me during my youth in Key Biscayne has always helped me and everyone around me to excel.
Travel with the family to historic sites. How many other toddlers do you know that have toured the Gettysburg Battlefield!
